BROOKLIN LIMITED BML10 1940 BUICK M59 STATION WAGONThe Brooklin Collection encapsulates the history of the American automobile from 1950 and the heady days after World War II to the beginning of the 1970s and the invasion of smaller imports from abroad. This was a time when bigger meant better, when the V8 ruled and chrome was king.
Buick built less than 500 Woody wagons in a one year run. Biehl Body Co. of Reading Pennsylvania was responsible for this beautiful automobile. This particular car was owned by Warner Brothers and appeared in the 1942 movie ‘Now Voyager’, starring Bette Davis. Later Warners gifted the car to the actress.
This is a substantial, heavy model that has been beautifully hand-crafted by Master Model Builders, Brooklin Models of Bath.
Featuring a wealth of detail, including separate plated bumpers, door handles, windscreen wipers, headlights, grille, bonnet trim & ornament and wheels. The interior and fascia are also highly detailed. The whitewall tyres are rubber.
The Evening Orchid paintwork is beautifully applied and finished to a superb standard.
This model is a must-have for the discerning collector of handbuilt, models of classic American cars.
