Road Trip Ready

So, you've decided to get out on the open road, see our sunburnt land and enjoy what our vast continent has to offer.  You have your maps, your clothes and your supplies, but have you thought about those long hours in the back of the car, or driving on long straight road for hours on end?  The drive will take up most of your days and to keep boredom and stiffness at bay, there are plenty of gadgets and equipment to make those long hours comfortable and fun. Giving you time to truly relax and enjoy what the bush, sea or outback has to offer whether it's your turn to drive, or to chill in the back seat.

Boot storage solutions enable you to maximise your boot space and organise your supplies.  Keep your food separate from your goggles and flippers, or section off for your own personal belongings.

If there are multiple travellers, one of the handiest gadgets to have is a 4-port USB cigarette lighter.  Everyone will get to charge their phones and tablets at the same time, keeping everyone in touch and able to Facebook, text, browse and call to their hearts content.

A back seat organiser is great to hold toys safely to keep the kids occupied or to store books, magazines maps and more without stopping to grab things out of the boot.

Do you have an emergency car kit?  You may be covered for roadside recovery but that won't help you in a remote location or in the dark.  Stay safe and ensure you have an emergency car kit in the glove box should a breakdown occur.

Go through your checklist together so no-one gets the blame for leaving something behind, pack your essentials and your creature comforts, take lots of driving breaks and keep hydrated. Following all these tips will set you up for the road trip of a lifetime!
