The ICY BOX IB-RD3640SU3 is a four bay RAID system in order to work fast with a vast amount of data. Up to four HDDs can be installed without the aid of any tool in this high quality aluminium enclosure. All without any size limitation, which provides a lot of data in very little space. For example, to use with important company data as well as in the audio, video and entertainment field.
On both PCs and Macs the rapid connection using eSATA and USB 3.0 allows video and sound editing in high performance. In order to keep the data protected, ICY BOX offers a variety of RAID settings: 0/1/3/5/10/SINGLE.
This is very silent and provides and optimal environment for the data thanks to the temperature controlled fan. This device also has a synchronized standby mode with which it is very energy conserving.
Toolless is effortless and installed faster.
In this enclosure four HDD can be easily mounted into the metal bays and held there. Not even one screw is needed. Thanks to the use of HotSwap and Plug & Play, HDDs can be replaced in a breeze without having to turn off the system or install any driver.
Five modes = Six possibilities
Yeah this is the right math! The controller supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5 and 10. On top of that, there is always the possibility to switch to Single, so that each HDD will be displayed individually and accessed separately. Externally, there are two possibilities to connect the enclosure to the computer, the first is via USB 3.0, the second is eSATA, each with its own transfer rates.
And yet so simple
Many LEDs indicate regarding connections, if and which interface is used with the HDD as well as activity on the HDD. Additionally, fan information is displayed such as if the automatic fan control is used or which fan speed is set.

Online purchases must be returned within 14 days and must be new, unused, and contain all original packing and accessories. You have to contact us within fourteen(14) days of receipt of the item to be eligible for a store credit or exchange (May be subject to postal charges). If you have passed the fourteen(14) day cut off point, you may only be eligible for exchange. It is crucial to understand our Return Policy and make certain the criteria are met before physically sending item(s) back to us. Please read our Terms and Conditions for further details.
Change of Mind
If you change your mind about a purchase or make an incorrect choice and notify us within 14 days of delivery, we will provide you with a store credit for unopened products once the product has been returned back to us. The criterion for the Change of Mind Policy is outlined below:
The product must be in an unopened, unused condition - suitable for resale
The store credit will be calculated as the product price paid minus the postage & re-stocking costs (Free Shipping order would incur subtraction of $9.95 and Express Post order would incur subtraction of $15.00) for products under $50 in value but more than $10.
If item is less than $10 in value, then $4.95 will be taken away as shipping and re-stocking fee.
If item is less more than $50 in value but less than $100, then $19.95 will be taken away as shipping and re-stocking fee.
If item is less more than $100 in value but less than $500, then $49.95 will be taken away as shipping and re-stocking fee.
Risk of loss or damage to the product will not be assumed by Simply Wholesale until the product has been accepted back into our warehouse
Product Exclusions: The Change of Mind Policy does not apply to: undergarments and jewellery
Faulty Products - If a product is wrongly described, different from a sample shown or is defective, we will offer you a choice between a new replacement item or a full store credit. Please note that any incorrectly sent items will need to be returned in original, unused condition.
Damaged Products - If your item arrives damaged or 'dead on arrival', we will arrange a replacement or full refund at our cost.
How to request a return for wrongly described or defective item purchased at www.simplywholesale.com.au:
STEP 1.
Please contact us within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the item via our online contact form or by Contact Us section stating your order number, the item(s) you wish to return and details of the problem.
STEP 2.
Our Customer Services Team, provided you comply with this returns policy, will then issue a Returns Confirmation. Please send the item to the specified address with the Returns Confirmation specified on the outer packaging. The returns confirmation is valid for fourteen (14) days so please return the item immediately.
STEP 3.
Once the item is received by us, and provided the returned item meets our conditions, we will provide you with a store credit or a replacement product. In some cases extra postal charges may be incurred. You will be notified of this before the product is sent out to you. This will be done within 7 business days of receiving the item from you.
How to request a return for any product purchased through a deal site, company affiliated with Simply Wholesale:
Due to the discounted nature of the product and the involvement of the secondary party ie. the deal company, you will not be eligible for a refund or store credit if you purchased from a deal site or company. You will only be eligible for an exchange if a product is deemed to be faulty or damaged by the Simply Wholesale team.
STEP 1.

Warranty and Claims
Warrantable Items.
A warrantable item is one which is covered by a manufacturer's warranty which may offer additional protection against product failure to that offered by SimplyWholesale’s returns policy. Many of brand-name electrical items, mobile phones, computers and IT products are covered by manufacturer's warranties.
Warranty claims are handled by the manufacturer directly so please contact them immediately an issue arises and follow their Returns Policy and Instructions. If you require any assistance or their contact details please feel free to contact us via our online contact form or customer services department stating your order number, the item(s) you are wishing to return and details of the problem.
International Import Items.
Products imported to Australia directly by SimplyWholesale MAY NOT be covered in Australia by the warranties offered in the country of origin. Under these circumstances, SimplyWholesale will assist customers to locate and contact the appropriate overseas manufacturer or distributor in the country of origin for a period of ninety (90) days after the placement of the original order with us.
